Know this is late notice but because of unexpectedly large demand for the bikes Earl is adding an additional bike repair session to his Eagle Project schedule. He has requested that I post this on the troop web site. This session is to last about two hours and starts at 5:00 PM on Wednesday September 1 at the Baptist Student Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. See http://www.uahbcm.com/ for information about the BSC. The address of the center is 450 Sparkman Dr. Huntsville, Al 35805.
Dear Troop 757 Parents,

God bless, and all the best to you all!

Summer camp is just around the corner and we are looking forward to another fun-filled week of adventure at Camp Sequoyah! As we start wrapping up preparations for this years summer camp I need a head count of all adult leaders who will be attending camp this year. If you are planning on attending the camp part-time (not staying the entire week) please let me know what days you will be attending, or what days you will be available to attend, so we can make sure we have enough adult leaders available to help our boys make this year's camp experience a safe and enjoyable one.
For those of you interested in taking Wilderness First Aid, another class is being offered. Excellent training for any adult who participates in outdoor activities--especially for those considering a high adventure activity in the future. Occasionally older scouts may also participate--at the discretion of the trainer. I can e-mail the flyer to anyone interested. Mrs. Wells
Hello Everyone,

Attention all scouts who sold popcorn – the troop is treating you to dinner at Five Guys Burgers as a way of saying thanks. Meet at Five Guys at the Target Shopping Center on Carl T. Jones Drive on Tuesday night, November 24th at 5:00 PM. We will provide transportation back to the Scout meeting for those who need it. REMEMBER… this is for scouts who sold popcorn only please!
Does anyone need to observe a reptile/amphibian to complete their badge work. We have a skink that Austin used for this badge and we are planning to either pass it along to someone else or release it back into the wild. If you are interested, contact me at 882-5356. Thanks Mrs. Wallace

All parents of scouts going to summer camp *MUST* sign a waiver before leaving for camp. The waiver needs to be notarized. I do not yet have the waiver forms but they should be available by next week's meeting. A notary public will be available at the next scout meeting, Tuesday June 16th, at Mayfair Church of Christ to notarize all waivers at that time. All parents with children who plan on attending summer camp need to be present at this meeting to sign the waivers and have them notarized. There will be no charge for the notary if it is done at this time.

PACKING NIGHT -- TUESDAY, JUNE 16
Trailer packing night is next Tuesday night. Gear *must* be in the box on the trailer on Tuesday night. We will not open the trailer on Sunday.
TRAVEL
Sunday June 21: Meet at Mayfair at 11:30AM. We will leave AT 12:00PM sharp!!
-Scouts will be traveling on a bus from Mayfair. The cost for travel is $15 for ALL SCOUTS. If the travel fee can be paid next Tuesday, it would be great.
-A parent must sign a waiver for their scout to travel on the bus. We hope to have those up on the troop website soon and at the meeting next Tuesday.

Summer Camp Adult Leaders Meeting - Tuesday, June 9
We will have a meeting this Tuesday night, 8PM of all adult leaders that plan to attend summer camp for any length of time.
REMINDER: If you spend the night at camp, YOU MUST HAVE A BSA HEALTH FORM.

We will have a parent’s meeting this Tuesday night for the parents of all scouts going to summer camp this year.
The meeting will be at 7PM at Mayfair.
Items to be discussed:
Packing for camp
Travel plans
Parent’s night
Q&A about camp
If this is your scout’s first time to camp, it is very important that you be there.

I have reserved one of Mayfair's Buses for transportation to summer camp. I still working on securing a driver for both trips. The driver must be someone with a CDL who is on Mayfair's insurance and driver list. I will post an update once a driver has been secured.
We do have a bus reserved and confirmed for the dates and times needed pending the status of an approved driver . We will be responsible for fuel cost, and possibly a nominal fee for the driver.

We are planning a special Court of Honor and Bridging Ceremony this Saturday, April 4th at the Hayes Nature Preserve in Hampton Cove. The Bridging will take place on the Hayes Nature Trail Bridge over the Flint river. The ceremony will start at 2:00 PM and be complete by 3:00 PM. Scouts should arrive at 1:30 PM to help with preparations. Scouts should be in full dress Class A uniform including OA or Merit Badge sashes. A cake and soft drinks will be provided after the ceremony. This area is subject to flooding so heavy rains could force us to postpone the event.

Rescheduled for March...
