Order of the Arrow Elections – Tuesday, July 27
Thu, 07/22/2010 - 11:42am — Mr.YellAt the July 27th Troop meeting, we will hold elections for the Order of the Arrow.
If you are interested in being considered for the OA, contact Mr. Yell.
The Order of the Arrow membership requirements are:
-Be a registered member of the Boy Scouts of America and hold the BSA First Class rank or higher.
UPDATE: July Campout at Camp Jackson -- Sign up!
UPDATE: Signup and money extended to 7/27/10. See the attached orienteering workbook and bring your compass.
We will be having our July Camp-out at Camp Jackson in Scottsboro, AL. This will be a 2-night option for those who wish to sign up. Activities will be fishing, swimming, hiking and canoeing. We will have a 1-2hr. service project on Saturday.
Cost is estimated at $22 (2 nights), $17 (1 night)

Youth Protection Training Required for All Leaders
From BSA National -- Effective June 1, 2010
Youth Protection Training is required for all registered volunteers.
New leaders are required to take Youth Protection training before they submit an application for registration. The certificate of completion for this training must be submitted at the time application is made and before volunteer service with youth begins.
Youth Protection training must be taken every two years. If a volunteer's Youth Protection training record is not current at the time of recharter, the volunteer will not be reregistered.
